Its aim is to provide a free, easy-to-use search facility for those looking to buy or rent property/real estate in France, aided by a complementary bank of useful information. Our website consists of three main sections: Properties for Sale, Holiday Accommodation and Useful Information.
The Properties for Sale section draws its catalogue of properties for sale in France from French registered immobiliers (estate agents), although there are a few private advertisements. We aim to provide a comprehensive French property database for potential clients, giving access to the whole range of French properties from building plots to lavish châteaux, covering the most popular areas of France.
The Holiday Accommodation section is supplied by Abritel, a leading French holiday accommodation provider. Listing more than 15,000 French holiday homes, Abritel is able to offer a comprehensive portfolio of mainly privately owned gites and holiday homes at competitive prices. Our Useful Information section is designed to provide you with a diverse background of information regarding France, from buying a property to finding French accented letters on your computer keyboard. There are several subtle and fundamental differences between the French way of life and what we are used to, as is normal when moving from one country to another. Obviously the best way to learn these differences is to live in France but this is not practical for all. One very important difference lies in the French Law of Succession.
