FrenchPropertySearch.com is a French registered internet-based company located in south west France. Its aim is to provide a free, easy-to-use search facility for those looking to buy or rent property/real estate in France, aided by a complementary bank of useful information. Our website consists of two main sections: Properties for Sale, and Useful Information.

The Properties for Sale section draws its catalogue of properties for sale in France from French registered immobiliers (estate agents), although there are a few private advertisements. We aim to provide a comprehensive French property database for potential clients, giving access to the whole range of French properties from building plots to lavish châteaux, covering the most popular areas of France.

Our Useful Information section is designed to provide you with a diverse background of information regarding France, from buying a property to finding French accented letters on your computer keyboard. There are several subtle and fundamental differences between the French way of life and what we are used to, as is normal when moving from one country to another. Obviously the best way to learn these differences is to live in France but this is not practical for all. One very important difference lies in the French Law of Succession. It is important to understand how if affects home buyers before you sign on the dotted line. In our Buyer’s Guide we present you with extracts from articles from the Notaire’s of France society. We also have contributions from French mortgage providers, currency exchange, insurance and removal companies, Tourist and travel information and information on many other interesting topics. With time we hope this section of our website will grow to provide an extensive and all-encompassing source of information and essential contacts relating to France.
